As we approach the festive season, we would like to take the time to remind commuters of the importance of staying safe and seen when out and about by wearing appropriate clothing/ lights.
Limerick Smarter Travel are delighted to announce that we received 18 successful applications for our bike parking grant.The bike parking will be installed in a number of sites across the metropolitan area in the new year. Congratulations to all our successful applicants and for anyone who missed out we hope to offer further funding in 2016.
LCFE Limerick College of Further Education held its first bike repair event for staff and students on Tuesday the 24th November 2016. LCFE are being very proactive in their efforts to promote sustainable travel and hopefully this bike repair event will be the first of many.
As part of our December campaign to promote sustainable travel, Smarter Travel Schools will be invited to take part in a Santa WOW(Walk on Wednesday/weekday) Wednesday 16th of December.
A WOW with a difference, students will be asked to walk to school in their festive attire.A number of goodie bags will be given to participating schools as spot prizes for students on the day.
